Are you a dog lover? Does the thought of coming home to see your tiny Chihuahua or massive pit bull make you happy inside? A dog’s love is unlike any other: unconditional, compassionate, and completely intuitive. It is truly incredible how loving a dog is, which makes them the perfect pet in all aspects (unless stinky breath isn’t your idea of a desirable pet).
Dogs have been cherished throughout history, and ancient Egyptians were said to have mourned for days after the death of their beloved canine. If you want to show your Yorkshire terrier or your Great Dane how much you truly appreciate him or her, consider these five tips to show them how much you care.
1. Buy Your Pooch Some More Toys and Treats
This is one of the simplest ways of showing your dog that you love him or her. Go for something new in the dog treats section, or purchase a gigantic bone which will take weeks to finish. There are tons of different dog toys out there to choose from, such as:
- Loofa dog toys
- Squeaker ball toys
- Frisbees
- Rope dog toys
- Rubber dog toys
- Unstuffed dog toys
2. Take Your Dog Out For an Exciting Adventure
If your dog doesn’t mind riding in the car, it’s always a good idea to take him or her on an exciting adventure. There are many places to take your pup, such as:
- The beach
- The mountains
- Dog parks
- Dog-friendly restaurants
- A walk in a different town
Don’t let your pooch stay bored for too long. Take him or her on an exciting adventure!
3. Have Your Dog Groomed
Although your dog might not like it, having her groomed is a good idea. Your dog will feel spoiled once he or she comes out of the grooming room, confidently flaunting themselves. There are a ton of benefits to having your dog groomed, such as:
- Your groomer can discover whether or not your dog has an ear or tooth infection
- Other health problems may be discovered
- If you do the grooming yourself, you can establish a stronger bond with your pup
- You can allow your puppy to feel fresh and clean
4. Play a Game of Catch
All dogs—no matter what shape or size—love to play catch. It doesn’t matter if it’s an eager Pomeranian trying to catch a twig or a Rottweiler trying to catch a tree branch. Catch is one of the simplest and easiest ways to keep your dog entertained and happy.
5. Consider a Dog Day Care Center
Many of us must go to work from nine to five every day, which might mean that you have to leave your untrained pet home alone in a cage. (How sad, sitting in a cage all day). You can easily spoil your dog with a doggy day care center, where he or she is walked every day and gets to socialize with other pups instead of sitting in that cage all day.
Your dog is possibly the center of your life. If this is true, then these five tips will allow you to spoil your beloved four-legged friend.
This may sound hokey but once I week I let my dogs bunk down on the floor in my bedroom while I watch TV. They love it and look forward to it.
Don’t forget about buying them outfits! Little dogs especially, love a good outfit! 🙂
Also, make sure and indulge when it comes to their grooming supplies as well.
